Registration of e-commerce, within a month
The registration of e-commerce companies in the country will start within a month, informed the Commerce Ministry.
The information was given by Additional Secretary of the Ministry HM Safiquzzaman after a meeting on e-commerce at the Secretariat on Monday (November 1).
He said, "Hopefully, online registration of e-commerce companies can be started within 15 days to 1 month."
Safiquzzaman said other procedures, including determining the registration process for e-commerce-based organizations, would be announced in the next one month.
A list of accused companies in the e-commerce sector was found at the time, he said, adding that the three agencies had given three lists separately. After investigation, one agency has given a list of 19, another agency has given a list of 17 and the other agency has given a list of 13 companies. Their reports have been sent to the Financial Intelligence Unit of Bangladesh Bank.
